** Race update as of 4/7 - PLEASE READ**
With the amount of flooding at Hodges Village Dam, we're not confident that the water will recede enough by the race day.  Even if it does, we're less confident that the trails will be in any condition to hold a race.  We're fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of quality trails, so are moving forward with plans to move the race to a new venue, Douglas State Forest.  Same race day 4/15 and same time, just new venue.  We will be placing preliminary markers along the 6.8 mile course Saturday morning, and will lead two group rides this weekend and will post a GPX file as soon as possible.  Please see course description for more details.  We're sure you'll love this new course and venue, and thank DCR for working with us on such short notice.

** Course update as of 4/6**

The trails at Hodges Village Dam are currently closed until further notice, per Park Rangers.  With the recent rains, water levels are extremely high and significant sections of the course are virtually under a few feet of water.  This property protects downstream communities against flooding, so the timetable for opening the dam and quickly lowering the water level is currently unknown and contingent on many factors.  We continue to work closely with the Park Rangers to monitor the situation, especially with the promising (dry) forecast next week.  Meanwhile, we are actively pursuing a few different contingency/alternate plans to provide a quality event for regional riders, and expect to make a final decision by early next week at the latest.  We'll communicate more information as soon as it's readily available.  We apologize and appreciate your understanding.

Q: What is the race cancelation policy?
To ensure the safest event for the participants and all involved, we reserve the right to cancel, delay, or modify the format of the event at anytime. Believe us, it would have to be a very, very SERIOUS and DANGEROUS situation for the event to be canceled. But in the unfortunate situation this is required, there is a no-refund policy in place, as the majority of the costs have already been incurred to host the event and when associated, we do not want to take away any contributions to our charities. We expect you to be disappointed if the event is canceled, as we will be, but we also hope you understand why a no-refund policy is in place.

Q: Are there any refunds or transfers?
Sorry, all registrations are final; there are no refunds or transfers to other participants.  Within 10 days of the event, you can transfer your paid registration to another future event, for a small fee.  Please see the Transfer page for full details.  If you are unable to do the event please let us know ASAP so someone else can take your spot.
