Q: What is the race cancelation policy?
To ensure the safest event for the participants and all involved, we reserve the right to cancel, delay, or modify the format of the event at anytime. Believe us, it would have to be a very, very SERIOUS and DANGEROUS situation for the event to be canceled. But in the unfortunate situation this is required, there is a no-refund policy in place, as the majority of the costs have already been incurred to host the event and when associated, we do not want to take away any contributions to our charities. We expect you to be disappointed if the event is canceled, as we will be, but we also hope you understand why a no-refund policy is in place.

Q: Are there any refunds or transfers?
Sorry, all registrations are final; there are no refunds or transfers to other participants.  Within 10 days of the event, you can transfer your paid registration to another future event, for a small fee.  Please see the Transfer page for full details.  If you are unable to do the event please let us know ASAP so someone else can take your spot.

Q: Are strollers, joggers, pets, etc allowed on the course?
Due to insurance purposes and the safety of all participants, we cannot allow strollers, joggers, pets, etc on any of the courses at all.

Q: How many participants will be allowed to register?
The race capacity is 300 people.

Q:  Is the event chip-timed?
A: Yes.  We use New England Timing with disposable chip bib timing.  Results will be posted online at coolrunning.com and on this website after the event.

Q:  Where is parking?
A: Being a holiday, parking is plentiful around downtown Whitinsville.  Here are  few close to the venue and starting line: Whitin Community Center (60 Main St), Alternatives Unlimited (50 Douglas Rd), along Hill St (in front of Whitin Community Center) and Church Street.  The Gray Barn does not have adequate parking.

Q: How many water stations are on the run course?
There will be one (1) aid station on the course that runners will hit three (3) different times.

Fast and flat 5k course on closed roads! Start with a downhill running start on Main St just west of Whitin Community Center at Grove St before going through Memorial Square onto Linwood Ave. Take a quick spin into the Northbridge High School parking lot before continuing out Linwood Ave and turning around at the Linwood Apartments (New China Pacific restaurant). Then it's a straight shot back to the finish line at Memorial Square on Linwood Ave. A ingle aid-station at the entrance to the high school is passed 3 times.
